Classified Ads / Forum Staff (0/3)
Last post by Aki - Nov 08, 2022, 05:58 PM
I am actually getting the feeling of the forum services starting to get loaded, and I know we won't have the time or energy to handle them especially if emergency RL situations kick in. So, for that, I'm looking for dependable players who would like to help take care of these various services that we currently have.

✧ Odd Jobs & Description
The services that I'm currently hiring staff for are listed below which includes their description and I'd like to hire 3 for any of these forums that they'd be interested in working. However, if you'd like to take on more than one forum to work on and you think that you'd be able to do so, kindly please let me know!

✧ Requirements
  • Hired staffs must be able to respond to threads at least twice per week. The more often you can check and respond to threads, the better. But I don't want this to actually turn to a real job, so as long as you can check your forum section at least twice a week, are able to process the request, you're all good!
  • Do not leave your threads unattended for more than 7 days! Although we have multiple staff per forums, kindly avoid shoving all the work to them. If you're online and have the time while the other is not around or busy with other forums, please take the chance/opportunity to get on your section.
  • Communication with me is a must!
    • If you need help or clarification regarding your forum section, do not hesitate to ask me. I will try my best to respond to your inquiry as soon as I'm able to. But while I haven't answered back, kindly skip the section or thread you're in question.
    • I am most certainly okay with any staff member needing a break or stepping down from their job any time, but please kindly let me know beforehand instead of going MIA all of a sudden without further notice or taking me by surprise. It'll be difficult to be left with services unattended with no backup help.
✧ Paycheck
Forum Staff will receive a pay specifically to the job position(s) that's dependent on the workload for the service(s) in question. This paycheck can be picked up on the Paycheck page once every week as long as you actually responded to threads that week. New weeks start every Sundays once an update has been posted, so you have until the next Sunday update to respond to threads, and this is the only time you can pick up your paycheck.

✧ Application Form
All interested applicants who are good with the job description and requirements above can fill up the form below and post it as a new reply on this thread, but please only apply if you'll be able to fulfill your job:
[b]Preferred Service(s):[/b] (Any from the list that you want to work for if hired, but you can take as many as you'd like, just make sure you can handle them! If you don't have a preference, just put "Any")
[b]How often are you online?[/b] (For contacting purposes in case we need to reach you ASAP)
[b]Would you like to take jobs from other sections as well?[/b] (This is if you want to get more forum jobs or in future cases if there are openings or we need additional staff, so I know who to approach)
[b]Anything else?[/b] (If there's anything else that I should know that wasn't covered on the questions above)
As soon as this ad reached its deadline, I will then contact the applicants to let them know if they have been hired. Those who aren't hired will still receive a message from me to give them an assurance that they are already short-listed should we ever need more staff or if current staff members steps down, take a break, and the likes.

In those cases, all you have to do is to post here and let me know that you're still interested! No need to fill out the application form again unless you have changes to make which you think would be important for me to know. I will not limit any current staff to just apply for one section, so they are welcome to apply for positions here as well! Just post here and let me know that you're interested, no need to fill out the application form.

Classified Ads / Game Masters (0/3)
Last post by Aki - Nov 08, 2022, 05:48 PM
I've had some hard times creating game mechanics and introductions for Gleam, honestly. :D And since I'm pretty much picky with any series that I'd like to see, that makes my knowledge very limited. So we are in dire need of game masters who can help us make game rounds for our game sets!

Job Description
As a Game Master, you will be making rounds for the games under our Arcade page—which are combinations of password gate and automated games. Game masters will be creating 5 rounds for each game per month in their assigned set. They will only be given games that are trivial, which can be in a form of image, phrases and the likes. So games under their sets like Crazy Card or Inventory will not be included.

A one round for a game should include the question (or what the game is asking for), which can be in the form of an image, text, or some other media type and the answer to it, which the player would type as the password.

Once hired, Game Masters will need to come up with these rounds and they will be given an access to the games spreadsheet where they will input the rounds they create. This spreadsheet will include what we'll be needing for each game and further information will be given should there are other questions asked.

Requirements
  • Potential applicants must have a wide knowledge of various anime, manga, and video game series or knows enough series to be able to look up for information and resources about them in able to make rounds.
  • They must be able to make 5 rounds for each game per month in their assigned set.
  • Please keep in mind that previous experience with any TCG game-making is a plus, but is not required—although those with experience will have more chances of getting hired.
The sole purpose of a game master is to help us by providing information that we can use for the games which can be looked up online or pulled from your own knowledge, so that the major admins wouldn't get burned out by getting information for all of the available games all by themselves.

Games List
Although our interactive page is not locked, I would still like to list down the sets the Game Masters can choose along with the games that they will be handling. A general summary is included in each game to give the applicants a better idea about the games they will be making rounds for.
  • Bonus Weekly Set
    • Missed Birthdays - guess the birthday date of a character (provide the character name, their birthday and the official profile page)
    • Mystery Eyes - guess whose pair of eyes belongs to (provide the image that we can use, the character's name and the series they come from)
    • Karaoke - fill in the blank (provide the stanza(s) from either an opening or ending song of a series that you want to use for the round, including the song's title and the series it was used for)
  • Bi-Weekly Set A
    • 4 Pics 1 Word - think of the common similarities the four pictures has (provide images with the same subject, can be a combination of characters and items)
    • Analogy - a comparison between two completely different things or ideas (this should only be within the scope of anime, manga and games)
    • Guess the Seiyuu - guess the seiyuu of the round's featured character (provide us the seiyuu's name, the character they voiced for and the series)
  • Bi-Weekly Set B
    • Square Words - decode the scrambled letters to form a word (the word used for the rounds should be able to form a square, e.g. adventure which creates a 3x3 block for 9 letters)
    • Phrased - guess the character who said what phrase or quote (provide the quote/phrase, the character's name and the series they come from)
    • Character Guess - guess the character according to their wardrobe (provide the image to be used, the name of the character and the series they come from)

Procedure
If you are good with the job description and requirements mentioned above and are ready to apply, all you have to do is simply fill out the form below and post it as a new reply on this thread. Please only apply if you think you can provide us a lot of variety of rounds for each games within a set.
[b]Preferred Set:[/b] (the set you would want to make rounds for if hired, put "any" if you don't have a preference)
[b]Knowledge Rate:[/b] (rate the categories according to your knowledge where 1 being the highest, e.g. Anime = 1, Manga = 2, Games = 3)
[b]Availability:[/b] (let us know how often you're online for contacting purposes, or any other contact method in case we need to reach you ASAP)
[b]Other Things:[/b] (anything that you want to add that we may need to know, etc.)
Once all possible applications has been received after the deadline, we will review them carefully and will contact applicants to let them know if they have been hired. Other than that, we will let the other applicants know whether they get the job or not.

In case that the hired game masters step down, or if we'll be needing more, all applicants who didn't get the job the first time they applied will be considered for the position. We will contact them if they are still interested in the job, but they will no longer need to post another application reply on this thread unless they want to change or add anything from their previous post.

Paycheck
Game masters will receive five (5) random cards per month after 5 rounds for each game in the assigned set have been added to the spreadsheet. They can get their paycheck from the Paycheck page only if they have been given the GO signal to do so from the admins. Kindly please take note that Game Masters are not allowed to play the games they've made rounds for, but they will be rewarded the same through the Individual Payouts section with their names linked to the rewards page.

Deadline
We will accept applications until the positions are filled, but we may extend the deadline if we don't get any applications by then. So please don't hesitate to send in your application if you are interested in this role! ;)

Classified Ads / Deck Makers (0/3)
Last post by Aki - Nov 08, 2022, 04:51 PM
Since that there are already three (3) deck makers at the moment, that would be me, Mio and saya, we will be needing three (3) more for this position. Please keep in mind that although everyone is very much welcome to apply, we will be strict with regards on judging your deck making skills. This is to make sure that all of our decks, although made by different people, will be even and looks uniform.

Job Description
Obviously, you will be making decks for Gleam TCG. Our full deck includes a total of 20 cards, and the master badge. These are required in addition to the PSD file for each deck made when dropping them off. If you get the job, you will be required to make and drop off at least five (5) decks per month—of course, if you can make more than that, that's welcome and very much encouraged so we can keep our reserved decks on the upcoming list as full as possible.

Requirements
  • Potential applicants must know how to use and have Photoshop in their computer/laptop since the card templates we have are in PSD file format only. If you know of other graphic software and uses one that can open PSD files, then you can use that. But please make sure that the decks remain in PSD format so we can make any changes to it if necessary.
  • Must be able to make at least 5 decks per month or more, these should be a combination of other player's donations and yours (if you have some).
  • The decks that you're about to make should be similar to our currently existing decks in terms of cropping, coloring, editing, especially sharpening, etc to keep the decks as uniform and consistent as possible. In addition to this, please be warned that should we find something on your deck that we don't like, we may simply ask you nicely to redo it before approving them.
  • Previous experience in deck making or any graphic designs in general is a plus!

Procedure
If you are good with the job description and requirements mentioned above and are ready to apply, please read on and follow the application procedures below.
  • For starters, applicants will need to make two (2) decks of their choosing, either from their own donations that has been approved or an existing donation that has been donated but hasn't been claimed by me, Mio or saya.
  • The decks that you'll be making must be a character deck, and the other one should be any of the following deck types: seiyuu, theme, artist, or series. This is so we can see how well you'd be able to blend the cards with different characters and colors.
  • Once you're ready, you can download the templates here. Make sure that the decks you're going to make must contain the following: 20 cards in a deck, a master badge, and the PSD files for everything. When you're done, compile everything into a folder, zip it up and then upload to any trusted media sharing hosts or on your own domain where we can download it.
After making the decks, fill out the form below and then send it via forum private message to the TCG's me (don't forget to include the admins on the BCC field: Mio, and saya)—through this, we can check every application. Please DO NOT send your application through our Discord channel or any other contact method as we will not look into it.
[b]Download Links:[/b] (write the filename of the decks you've made and link each to where we can download it)
[b]Experience:[/b] (tell us something about your deck making or graphic design experiences if you have any)
[b]Availability:[/b] (let us know how often you're online for contacting purposes, or any other contact method in case we need to reach you ASAP)
[b]Strengths/Weaknesses:[/b] (kindly share to us your strongest and weakest points in deck making; i.e. a certain deck type you're having difficulties in making)
[b]Other Things:[/b] (anything that you want to add that we may need to know, etc.)
Once your application has been received, we will look over them and we'll let you know if we'd like any changes to be made. Keep in mind that we will most likely plan to hire you and have your deck released if you meet our deck making standards and how serious your are for this job through the interview form. Other than that, we will let you know whether you get the job or not.

If you are the lucky applicant and get hired, you will receive a private message through me to confirm if you're still interested to get on board. And then we will give you the right permissions through the forums and a forum staff role on Discord where we can discuss more details or information you may need via the #moderator channel.

Paycheck
Deck makers will receive two (2) random cards per deck made, which will be given to you once your deck is final—meaning, you will only receive your pay once any requested edits (if there's any) has been made. Aside from that, you can also get an additional pull from each deck you've made once they are released.

Deadline
We will accept applications until the positions are filled and may extend the deadline if we don't get any applications by then. So please don't hesitate to send in your application if you are interested in this role! ;)

Information / Forum Hacks
Last post by Aki - Nov 08, 2022, 09:49 AM
8) To make our lives easier while doing things here in the forum, I'd like to share to you some of the special features that you can use when you start posting things.

Inserting Cards
These includes cards and individual cards. If you wish to trade cards with someone, but don't want to upload cards or direct link to your server, here are some of the BBcodes you can use.

The code below:
[card]es!!-mikakagehira14[/card]
[card]sd-allstars02[/card]
[card]free!-sketchitup01[/card]
will result to this:

Please note that this BBcode is for single cards only, so do not try to put more than one card in between the brackets or it will not work. Make sure that you type the deck names as exactly as what it is shown in the cards page.

For the rest of individual cards such as member cards, event cards or achievement badges, there's no need to add the prefixes before the name since it's in the code also, and the code is:
[card=mc]Aki[/card]
[card=ec]grandopening[/card]
[card]Aki-waifusince2019[/card]
that will result to:

Names are also case sensitive, so please type the name as exactly as how it is displayed on the Member's List!

Inserting Other Items
These includes the other TCG collateral of Gleam.

To insert a currency, make sure to type the correct file names (currencies: charm points, lollipops). The code for this is:
[extra]charm point[/extra]
[extra]lollipop[/extra]
that will result to:

And for the coupons, make sure to type the correct file name. You can check the file names on the coupons page. The code for the coupon is:
[coupon]lb-choiceany[/coupon]
[coupon]fb-freeskill[/coupon]
[coupon]mb-discount[/coupon]
[coupon]se-eyecandy[/coupon]
that will result to:

For any merchandise, we also have a separate BBcode for it. Most of our merchandise are of PNG file type, with the exception of wallscrolls that uses a GIF file type. The code for the merchandise is:
[merch]cd-persona501[/merch]
[merch]le-valentines202002[/merch]
[merch]pt-loveless01[/merch]

Information / Forum Guidelines
Last post by Aki - Nov 08, 2022, 08:48 AM
First of all, welcome to the Gleam TCG Forum! Kindly please have a moment reading the rules. Failure to comply to the rules may lead to several warnings or an immediate ban. We are being friendly here so please return the favor to us. ;)

Board Guidelines
1. Be respectful.
Respect everyone and their opinions.
No flamings or swearing, and bad-mouthing of any kind.

2. Keep your temper under control.
Avoid fighting at all costs. We have all gathered here to share ideas, to enjoy playing Gleam TCG and make friends.

3. Keep the forum clean.
Any abusive and/or offensive words will not be tolerated in forum threads and whatnot.
No swearing and/or non-sense arguments and profanity.

4. No spamming/flooding.
Do not double post or post irrelevant replies. One-worded replies are considered spam.
You are free to use the 'multi-quote' to reply to multiple posts in one go.

5. No advertising or stealing.
Please do not advertise anything not related to TCGs unless you have our permission.
Credit the original owner if you are going to post someone's work. Post only if you have their permission.

6. No pornography of any kind.
I mean, seriously? Why would you even open something like this in an online TCG? :D

7. Topic deletions.
We have the rights to delete/remove any topics posted by the members if we deem necessary.

8. Read all news and announcements.
Ignorance of the posts under the Information thread is no excuse for violating them.

Posting Guidelines
We really don't want to be strict with regards to posting. However, it is best to be painstaking to maintain discipline not just with the members, but also to the ones managing Gleam TCG. So please keep these all in mind before you start posting any forum/category-related topics. ;)

1. Read the STICKY threads before posting in a forum.
Because each forum has a specific purpose, there may be additional rules/guidelines that applies to them. These rules will be posted in a special "sticky" thread at the top of the forum and will generally be titled "Board Guidelines". Please ensure you have read these and understand them before posting a thread.

2. Multi-lingual posting is not allowed.
Since we are focused to ensure the community internationally, the use of native language aside from English is prohibited. We all know that posting entirely in English with what you want us to hear out is a bit stressful, but we all are probably using different native languages. If you have difficulties in English as it may be your second language, we'll try to understand your topics and might spare a minute to edit your post.

3. Sexual discussions.
Forum threads which focus upon sexual subjects, which place undue emphasis upon genitalia, or which graphically describe sexual acts in detail will be classified by the Gleam administration as inappropriate and subjected to immediate action. :? (Why would you even open to discuss something sexual? We're playing an online trading card game, right? ;D)

4. Excessively decorated Forum Titles/Posts
Please avoid the use of: Excessive CAPS, 'decorated' text, excessive use of symbols (!?#>~*< and so forth), symbols being used to push the titles over, etc.

5. Don't push up threads.
Pushing up a thread is when you intentionally post a comment in a thread so that the thread gets to the top of the forum page. Do not do this just so your topic attracts your fellow members.

6. Do not type in abbreviation.
Please avoid posting a thread in abbreviations (shortened words e.g. "I dnt knw anythng.") and/or super case sensitive! This is rather too difficult to read especially to members who are not used this. 1F y0u Tyq3 L1k3 t#1$ 1 w177 B3@+ +#3 Cr@q 0u+ 0F y0U! You are in a forum so use up the spaces as you please. ;P

That will be all for today. If you are still quite unsure about these guidelines, you can always ask the staff members with unanswered questions. These rules may change without further notice, please check this section before posting anything. Have fun everyone! ;)

Thanks!
- Aki
